BGSU to host Olympian at reception

BOWLING GREEN, O.—Ken Morrow, a member of the U.S. Olympic Hockey Team that defeated the Soviet Union en route to capturing the gold medal in 1980’s “Miracle on Ice,” will return to his skating roots at Bowling Green State University.

Morrow, an All-American defenseman for the Falcons from 1976-79, will be the guest of honor at a fundraising reception hosted by the “Bring Back the Glory” campaign prior to BGSU’s hockey game on Feb. 27. Morrow will also be honored before the game.

The public is invited to attend the reception at 5 p.m. that Saturday at BGSU’s Mileti Alumni Center. The reception cost is $40 per person, or $100 per person to include a $60 tax-deductible gift to the "Bring Back the Glory" campaign and a photo opportunity with Morrow.

The “Bring Back the Glory” campaign, launched in October, is raising $5 million to endow scholarships for BGSU’s hockey program and enhance its Ice Arena.
Morrow and other Falcon alumni, hockey players, and coaches will show their support the campaign at the reception, which will include an autograph session and photo opportunities.

Register for the reception by calling 888-839-2586.
