The word cancer is personal and holds a powerful weight to it. So many people feel the weight of cancer either directly or know someone who has been impacted by cancer.
The Slater Family Ice Arena and Northwest Ohio skating communities have joined forces with the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation to raise funds through Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer™! We invite you to join us in our effort to Turn Cancer Upside Down™ and change the heavy weight that cancer brings through this celebration of strength, fight, and grace.
Read below to see how you can directly contribute to the fight against cancer. No involvement is too small, whether it be participating in the 5K Skate, registering to raise funds and skate in the exhibition, attend the celebration events, or donating any amount. A portion of the funds raised will stay local and support the Mercy Health Foundation Greater Toledo.

For skaters interested in participating in the Frozen 5K Skate, Ice Show, and attending the post-show Reception with Scott Hamilton. Registered participants get the opportunity to skate in the April 18 Ice Show at varying levels. Attend this informational session to learn more and/or receive help registering as a participant.

CELEBRATION DAY EVENTS
Frozen 5K Skate | February 8, 2020 | 2:00PM - 2:50PM
All skaters welcome! Skate a Frozen 5K in honor of a loved one with family and friends! Admission included for participants registered with Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer. To register, or learn more, visit: mysk8.org. All admission proceeds go to the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation.
Walk-up admission also encouraged and available the day of the Frozen 5K Skate for those who wish to participate in the Frozen 5K Skate but are not registered.

Celebration Ice Show & Reception | April 18, 2020
Ice Show | 5:00PM - 6:30PM
Join the On-Ice Celebration hosted by the Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer™ Bowling Green, Ohio Host Committee, local figure skating clubs and skaters from the area. Registered participants perform in group numbers prepared during Ice Arena Winter II programming in addition to earning the opportunity to perform a solo. Experience an evening of entertaining skating presented by our Emcee Scott Hamilton and guest skaters. All performances will be dedicated in honor of those affected by cancer.

Join Scott Hamilton and friends for an evening reception hosted by the Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer™ Host Committee and the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation team. Listen to a keynote speech from Scott Hamilton and help us continue to Turn Cancer Upside Down™.
