Youth Mental Health First Aid Training
- Training is open to all adults who work with youth - parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, group leaders, coaches and other caring citizens.
- Training will cover common signs/symptoms of mental illness in youth, common signs & symptoms of substance use, how to interact with youth in crisis, how to connect the youth with help
- There is no cost to participate.
- Earn 8 Contact Hours Total, including time for online, independent pre & post work

The Youth Mental Health First Aid training has a value of $170 per learner. Thanks to a generous grant, learners may attend at no charge. Bowling Green State University’s C2S2 (Mental Health & Wellbeing in Ohio Schools: Communication & Connection for Safe Schools) Preventing School Violence: STOP School Violence Program grant through the Bureau of Justice Administration (BJA) of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) funds this training.
