Communication and Connection for Safer Schools (C2S2) is excited to offer the Communication and Connection for Safer Schools series with Missy McClain, Community Outreach Coordinator for Akron Children’s School Health Services.  

Academic Year Work - virtual meetings 

The trainings will occur from 4 - 5:30 pm through Zoom.

2 Contact Hours/Session, 10 Contact Hours Total

Academic year work will include the following topics:

• Oct 20, 2025 - An Introduction to Trauma
• Nov 17, 2025 - Managing Trauma in the Classroom
• Dec 15, 2025 - Recognizing Extreme Burnout and Prioritizing Self Care
• Jan 26, 2026 - Increasing Developmental Assets and Building Resiliency in Children
• Feb 23, 2026 - Strengthening Developmental Relationships with Children
