ACT On-Campus
PURPOSE
The ACT On-Campus (formerly known as ACT-Residual or ACT-R) is used for admission to Bowling Green State University only. It is designed for those who missed the ACT National test dates, or those who would like to obtain a higher score for scholarship purposes. Scores cannot be transferred to any other institutions.
TESTING LOCATION
Testing is available Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00 am and 1:00 pm at Bowling Green State University - Bowling Green campus.
LOCATION
The ACT On-Campus is proctored in the Office of Accessibility Services, located in 38 College Park Office Building.
ELIGIBLE TEST TAKERS
Anyone wishing to apply to BGSU is eligible to take the test. If you have previously taken the ACT On-Campus, you may not take it again for 60 days. If your test administrations are less than 60 days apart, the test will not be scored, nor will your test fee be refunded.
MATERIALS NEEDED
You will need to bring some sharpened soft-lead (No. 2) pencils with erasers, a calculator if you wish to use one, and an acceptable form of identification. (A valid driver's license, current student ID, school letter or transcript and notarized statement with photo are acceptable.)
COST
The ACT On-Campus fee is $60.00 payable by check or money order to BGSU. Testing fees are non-refundable.
HOW TO REGISTER
You may register for the ACT On-Campus by calling the office at 419-372-8495 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. We will provide you with instructions for sending us your $60.00 testing fee. Once we receive payment, we will order the testing packet from ACT. The packet typically arrives in 4 weeks. We will then contact you to schedule your testing appointment.
TEST LENGTH
The examination takes about 3 hours and consists of four parts: English (45 minutes), Mathematics (60 minutes), Reading (35 minutes) and Science Reasoning (35 minutes). There is usually 10 minute break after the Mathematics test.

SCORE REPORTING
Scores are reported to the admissions office within 1 business day of testing.
MISCELLANEOUS
