  • Waste cooking oil to power BGSU campus mowers Nov 21, 2008 3:50 PM Next summer at Bowling Green State University, when the grass is green and the lawn mowers go about their work, campus pedestrians might notice the enticing smell of . . . doughnuts. Thanks to the work of two former environmental studies classes; support from Duane Hamilton, director of campus services in facilities services, and a grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, BGSU mowers will begin to run on used cooking oil from the dining halls.

  • Goberman, Fallon win BGSU research awards Nov 3, 2008 3:39 PM Dr. Alex Goberman’s collaboration with recent Bowling Green State University graduate Becky Recker helped earn him the Elliott L. Blinn Award for Faculty-Undergraduate Student Innovative Basic Research/Creative Work. The honor includes a $1,000 cash award for Goberman, an associate professor of communication disorders, and $4,000 for his department for continued support of undergraduate research.
