BGSU to hold Summer 2025 Commencement exercises Aug. 8-9

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Celebrating the academic achievements of the Class of 2025, Bowling Green State University will hold its Summer Commencement exercises on Friday, Aug. 8, and Saturday, Aug. 9, outdoors on the Bowling Green campus.

New for Summer Commencement, BGSU will hold a separate Doctoral Hooding and Graduate College Ceremony for all graduate degree candidates starting at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 8 on the Bowen-Thompson Quadrangle. During the ceremony, doctoral degree candidates will be hooded as they cross the Commencement stage.

The Undergraduate Ceremony for all bachelor's and associate degree candidates will take place at 9 a.m. on Aug. 9 on the Bowen-Thompson Quadrangle, concluding the University's 313th Commencement exercises.

In total, the Summer 2025 BGSU graduating class consists of 811 candidates, of which 24 will be presented an associate degree, 325 will be presented bachelor's degrees, 363 with master's degrees and 102 with doctoral degrees.

For graduates or guests unable to attend, ceremonies will be livestreamed on the BGSU YouTube channel and at BGSU.edu/Commencement.
