• 10/1 - Scholarship Opportunities available online
• The 2026-27 FAFSA form is open

February

• 2/16 - Summer Financial Aid Application is available online
• 2/19 - Deadline for submitting admissions credentials (including official ACT or SAT test results) for incoming freshman who wish to be considered for University Freshman Academic Scholarships
• 2/19 - Last day for incoming freshmen to apply for BGSU scholarships for 2026-27 academic year
• 2/19 - BGSU’s priority FAFSA application deadline for incoming freshman for 2026-27 academic year
• 2/27 - Last day for current students to apply for BGSU scholarships
• 2/27 - BGSU priority FAFSA application deadline for continuing students for the 2026-27 academic year

March

• Mid to late March SFA begins notification to incoming freshmen of 2026-27 financial aid offers

April

• Early to mid April SFA begins notification to continuing students of 2026-27 financial aid offers that have a completed FAFSA on file

May

• Early May - Master Promissory Note and Entrance Counseling for first-time Federal Direct Loan borrowers available online at studentaid.gov
• Early May - SFA begins processing Federal Direct Parent Loans for Undergraduate Students (PLUS) for those parents who have submitted a Federal Direct PLUS Loan Application online (studentaid.gov)

June

• Mid June - Submit any pending To Do list items requested on MyBGSU > Student Center.

July

• 7/2 - Fall bills available in students’ MyBGSU Student Center.
• Early July – Students apply for Private Student Loans from lending institutions to cover remaining fall bursar bill or parents apply for Parent PLUS loans at studentaid.gov.

August

• 8/1 - Payment due date for fall semester tuition (instructional, general, and non-resident fees, if applicable), fees, and University housing and food.
