Personal Conveyance Impound

Impoundment of any bicycle, scooter or other personal conveyance vehicle is defined as the seizure of any item as defined by the Bicycle, Scooter, and Other Personal Conveyance Policy due to an infringement or violation of the rules and regulation specified by this policy. Violations can be reported to the Campus Operations service desk Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. by calling 419-372-2251. Violations outside of these hours that cause an immediate safety issue can be reported to the BGSU Police at 419-372-2346.

Impoundment and storage fees can be paid
Monday through Friday (8 a.m - 5 p.m) at the Campus Operations Help Desk

Bowling Green State University is not responsible for damage to any bicycle, scooter or other personal conveyance vehicles. All impounded vehicle pick ups can be coordinated through the BGSU Campus Operations service desk. Those receiving a personal conveyance vehicle should first fill out the Campus Operations return form.

Any impounded vehicle will be released to the owner only after the following conditions are met:

  1. All outstanding fees have been paid.
  2. A picture ID is presented.
  3. Proof of ownership can be demonstrated.  

All personal conveyance vehicles that have been impounded for 180 days or more will be considered abandoned and subject to forfeiture to Bowling Green State University.
