Housing
Undergraduate students are required to live on campus for the first four semesters of their academic career. Please review the Housing Policies to confirm if you are required to live on campus. International students who will be living on campus must pay the full semester housing fee before they arrive.
Living On-Campus
Please note that if you are living on-campus and have paid your housing deposit, new students will be permitted to move into their permanent fall housing assignment on Monday, August 19, 2024. Students arriving before Monday, August 19th need to contact our office to determine if they can move in early. However, student may be responsible for making their own off-campus overnight accommodations. For more important details about move-in please visit the Office of Residence Life website.
New international students living on-campus will NOT need to sign up for a Move-In Time. If you arrive on Monday, August 19th, or Tuesday, August 20th, you can move directly into to your permanent academic year space upon arrival to campus.

Graduate Housing
A limited number of single occupancy rooms are available in Bowling Green for an estimated cost of $325 per month. There are also some apartments available, with estimated rents ranging from $400 to $600 per month. These apartments may be furnished or unfurnished. When renting, you must pay a security deposit (1-3 months’ rent) and sign a lease, which is a legally binding contract; some landlords may also require you to have a U.S. citizen as a guarantor, which is an individual who becomes responsible for covering any rental payments if you are unable to. At the beginning, you will need about $500 to $1,500 to secure an apartment. It would be wise to secure off-campus accommodations prior to your arrival to Bowling Green. Please keep in mind that off-campus housing options become more limited toward the beginning of each semester. Therefore, DO NOT wait until the last minute to explore your options.
