Housing

Undergraduate students are required to live on campus for the first four semesters of their academic career. Please review the Housing Policies to confirm if you are required to live on campus. International students who will be living on campus must pay the full semester housing fee before they arrive.

Living On-Campus

Please note that if you are living on-campus and have paid your housing deposit, new students will be able to move into a temporary break housing assignment for Tuesday, January 3 and will then will be permitted to move into their permanent spring housing assignment on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.  Students arriving before Tuesday, January 3, 2023 will be responsible for making their own off-campus overnight accommodations.  Students arriving on Wednesday, January 4 or later will be permitted to move directly into their spring housing assignment.  For more important details about move-in please visit the Office of Residence Life website.

Graduate Housing

A limited number of single occupancy rooms are available in Bowling Green for an estimated cost of $325 per month. There are also some apartments available, with estimated rents ranging from $400 to $600 per month. These apartments may be furnished or unfurnished. When renting, you must pay a security deposit (1-3 months’ rent) and sign a lease, which is a legally binding contract; some landlords may also require you to have a U.S. citizen as a guarantor, which is an individual who becomes responsible for covering any rental payments if you are unable to. At the beginning, you will need about $500 to $1,500 to secure an apartment. It would be wise to secure off-campus accommodations prior to your arrival to Bowling Green. Please keep in mind that off-campus housing options become more limited toward the beginning of each semester. Therefore, DO NOT wait until the last minute to explore your options.

As an option, BGSU offers graduate students the Falcon Landing apartments, conveniently located on Wooster Street directly across from campus. Your rent includes all your furniture and internet service. Your rent will be conveniently billed by the BGSU Bursar office and placed on your student account. One bedroom (10-month lease) is approximately $640 per month. NO DEPOSIT. NO APPLICATION FEE. Contact their office for more information about leasing: falconlanding@bgsu.edu or (419) 806-4478.
