United Way Campaign
Dear Faculty and Staff,
Fall kicks off the annual United Way and Northwest Ohio Community Shares Campaign at Bowling Green State University.
For 2018, our goal is an increased percentage of overall participation for both our active University employees and our retirees. The challenges individuals in our area face are significant. Your contribution to United Way touches the lives of many by focusing on the building blocks for a good life: education, income, and health.
In Bowling Green and Wood County, the local Continuum of Care estimates an average of four persons a day are seeking assistance for housing and utilities. Your gift to United Way helps to provide emergency services to those facing homelessness; struggling with violence in the home; or dealing with the devastation and displacement of fire or flood.
Your gifts also touch the future through the lives of children and families. United Way programs focus on kindergarten readiness through parenting education and emphasis on early childhood development. Your dollars also help to ensure student success through after school enrichment programs and, ultimately, life success.
At Bowling Green State University, we are proud to support United Way and Northwest Ohio Community Shares. This is your opportunity to be vested in the communities where we live and work.
Your participation in supporting our community is very important. Please consider making a donation at a level you are comfortable with, whether it is a single gift or a donation made through monthly payroll deductions.
Please join me in helping local families become and stay financially stable, improve education, early learning, access to healthy environments, and our entire community by making a donation this year to the BGSU United Way/Northwest Ohio Community Shares campaign.
