Run. Hide. Fight.
To promote safety across our University community, the BGSU Department of Public Safety has implemented the federally recognized Run. Hide. Fight. active-aggressor response training, replacing the previous ALICE active intruder protocol.
Through Run. Hide. Fight., the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security recommend that individuals experiencing an active-aggressor situation should either run or hide, depending which option is safest. Fighting should only be considered as a last resort. The FBI has produced a fictional training video describing these techniques.
View the icons below to learn more about these response options. If you have any questions about the Run. Hide. Fight. training, please contact the BGSU Police Department at bgsupolice@bgsu.edu. If you wish to schedule an in person training please submit a request on our Educational Programming page.
