Preparing for Camp

Payment Dates 

Forms & Waivers 

BGSU Summer camps uses CampDoc to collect the necessary waivers and forms for your camper to participate in their selected program. The office anticipates sending all of these e-mails by May 15, or sooner. Please check your spam and junk folders for the initail invititation e-mail from CampDoc. 

Families who have previously used CampDoc for other programs will not receive this invitation e-mail as you would already be a member withing CampDoc. Please log-in to your account and search for the BGSU Tab

Opt-In / Opt-Out 

A handful of our BGSU Summer Camps will have additional permissions that will attention  before campers can participate. In many cases parents/guardians you will be asked to opt-in or out to a camp activity, this is especially true if you are a virtual camper. Your camp materials will be held and not sent until this information is completed within your profile in CampDoc. 

Know-B4-U-GO  & First Day of Camp

Aproximately 2-3 weeks before the start of your particular program you will receive via email information important to your time at camp. Included in this mailing will be information on where to check-in, parking instructions, what to bring and a schedule overview.

Travel and Lodging 

Whether you are traveling hundreds of miles or right down the road from your house, we hope this page will provide everything you will need to know to plan your trip to Bowling Green, Ohio. And if not... please contact the summer camps office with questions. 

Driving to BG 

Bowling Green, Ohio is located near Interstate 75 and U.S. Route 6, on State Route 25. The University is on East Wooster Street between State Route 25 and Interstate 75. It is easily accessible from the Ohio Turnpike via exit 64/4A.

Once you near campus, Orientation signs will direct you where to park. orientation check-in is located in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union (BTSU) and Orientation staff will direct you from the parking lot 7. Signs will also be located throughout campus to that will direct you to BTSU once parked. 

Driving Directions to Bowling Green State University

To ensure that you arrive at BGSU on time, we advise that you visit the ODOT website, call 419-373-4471 or call 1-888-2OH-ROAD for updates on any local construction that could delay your trip.

Flights 

If you arrive by plane, we suggest that you rent a car for transportation or make arrangements for shuttle service. You can book a ride with BG Airport Shuttle or search online for other options in the Bowling Green area.

Airports Near BGSU:

Amtrak train

If you would like to travel by train, the closest Amtrack station is located in Toledo Ohio. From there, you will need to coordinate travel arrangements.

With lovely boutiques, specialty shops, supermarkets and big box stores, there’s very little you can’t find in Bowling Green. Visit some of our locally owned stores downtown and venture further up Main Street to pick up your groceries.
