BGSU to honor achievement at virtual celebration Aug. 15

More than 940 degrees will be awarded in this class

Bowling Green State University will host a virtual celebration for summer degree candidates Saturday, Aug. 15.

The event will begin at 1 p.m. Students, family and friends can view the stream at BGSU.edu.

Of the 944 degrees to be awarded to the August Class of 2020, 100 are with honors. The Graduate College will award 368 degrees, including 332 candidates for master’s degrees and 36 for doctorates. Forty-one students will be awarded associate degrees.

Sixteen percent of graduates in this class are students of color and 62% are women. Graduates range in age from 18 to 66 and those graduating include 58 international students, representing 20 countries.
