BGSU to hold commencement ceremonies

BOWLING GREEN, O.—Bowling Green State University will hold fall commencement exercises in the Stroh Center on Friday, Dec. 16, and Saturday, Dec. 17. The University’s 272nd graduation will see 994 students receiving diplomas, including 180 from the Graduate College.

Friday’s ceremony, at 7 p.m., will honor degree recipients from the Graduate College, the colleges of Business Administration, Health and Human Services, Musical Arts, Technology and BGSU Firelands. Alumnus Bruce Misamore, a longtime oil industry executive and former CEO of Russia’s YUKOS oil company, will give the commencement address.

Saturday’s ceremony will begin at 10 a.m., with graduates from the colleges of Arts and Sciences and Education and Human Development receiving diplomas. Speaking will be Dr. Robert DeBard, an associate professor emeritus of higher education and college student personnel and former dean of BGSU Firelands who was named last year’s Master Teacher.
