BGSU Northwest Ohio Science Olympiad

BGSU has proudly hosted the Northwest Ohio Regional Science Olympiad since 2015. The competition features 46 events, 23 in each division: high school and junior high/middle school. These events cover a wide range of science disciplines including biology, chemistry, geology, physics, engineering, and the nature of science. Each year approximately 450 students vie for individual event awards, and the top teams move on to the Ohio State Science Olympiad.

The 2025 Northwest Ohio Regional is scheduled for Saturday March 15, 2025. Event rules and registration information are below. Registration is done through Ohio State Science Olympiad. Deadline for registration is December 13, 2024.
