BGSU has proudly hosted the Northwest Ohio Regional Science Olympiad since 2015. The competition features 46 events, 23 in each division: high school and junior high/middle school. These events cover a wide range of science disciplines including biology, chemistry, geology, physics, engineering, and the nature of science. Each year approximately 400 students vie for individual event awards, and the top teams move on to the Ohio State Science Olympiad.

We hope you can join us March 14, 2026 for the 11th BGSU Science Olympiad Regional. Registration will be open from September 10 through December 17 through the Ohio State Science Olympiad. New teams that have not registered the past two years may receive a significant discount. The official event rules for the season can be downloaded through the National Science Olympiad.
