Case Management Services

Need extra support? The BGSU Counseling Center provides case management and advocacy services to help students access the resources they need to be successful personally and academically.

What we do

Our case manager works with students to:

  • Identify and address barriers to well-being and academic success
  • Connect with mental health services on campus and in the community
  • Navigate insurance, transportation and other practical needs related to care
  • Coordinate support between campus offices and off-campus providers
  • Follow up to ensure students are getting the help they need

When to seek student assistance and advocacy

This service may be helpful if students are:

  • Having difficulty finding or accessing a counselor, psychiatrist or other mental health provider
  • Returning to campus after a hospitalization or medical leave
  • Managing multiple challenges and feeling unsure where to start
  • In need of ongoing support while working with an off-campus provider
