Individual and Group Counseling Services
Individual Counseling
Short term, one-on-one counseling is available for all BGSU students. Our clinicians use brief therapy approaches that focus on helping identify goals, build skills and find solutions that work for you.
Common topics include:
- Coping with depression, anxiety or PTSD
- Improving communication and problem-solving skills
- Building healthy and satisfying relationships
- Adjusting to university life
Our approach
We strive to create a safe, inclusive and nonjudgmental space where students can talk openly about their experiences. Each session is tailored to individual needs using evidence-based, goal-focused methods that support personal growth and resilience.
Group Counseling
Group counseling provides students with a supportive space to share experiences, gain new perspectives, and develop coping skills with others who may face similar challenges. Led by professional counselors, groups focus on topics such as stress, relationships, identity, and personal growth, helping students feel connected and empowered.
