Facilitation Request Guidelines

The Kuhlin Hub for Career Design and Connections team partners with faculty, campus partners, and student organizations to fulfill requests submitted using the Consultation Request Form each semester.

All consultation requests are reviewed based upon topic, staffing availability, and existing Kuhlin Hub for Career Design and Connections programming. The Kuhlin Hub for Career Design and Connections strives to fulfill all requests. However, a submission does not guarantee your request will be approved.

All requests should be submitted at least three weeks in advance to allow additional time for preparation, coordination, and scheduling. Facilitation events/activity should occur Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Maintain the expectation that facilitation requests are scheduled Monday-Friday. The current 7:00 p.m. end time may remain flexible depending on:

  • Presenter availability
  • Student schedules and attendance
  • Type of event

Outside of Business Hours Request Policy:

For facilitations scheduled outside of Kuhlin Career Hub office hours (M-F, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.), a minimum of 15 confirmed participants one week before the proposed facilitation date is required. Please note: requests for academic courses are waived from this requirement.

A final consultation meeting will be scheduled one week prior to the facilitation date in which attendance numbers will be reviewed and verified. If the confirmed registration number falls below 15, the Career Design Coach will determine whether the event/activity should proceed as scheduled or if there is another deliverable can provide the desired learning outcomes.

If requesting a "traditional" presentation, it should:

  • Foster collaboration with faculty, student organizations, and campus partners.
  • Align with course learning outcomes, organizational goals, or event objectives.

Pre-Presentation: All new facilitations will need to engage in a consultation with the Career Design Coach approximately one week before the presentation to:

  • Confirm presentation content and objectives.
  • Align expectations and desired outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for customization.
  • Address any logistical needs or adjustments before the event.

If you are a faculty or staff member, please go to our Faculty Resource page to complete the consultation request form.
