The Career Center utilizes Handshake - a modern platform for connecting students and alumni with on-campus and off-campus employers. Handshake offers many great features including the ability to:
- Post your resume to connect with employers
- Apply for part-time and full-time positions
- Register your co-op 50 experience
- Sign-up to attend career-related events
- ... and more!
To apply for a position in Handshake, you must have an approved resume. The approval process for each resume submission typically takes 2-3 business days, but may take longer during high volume periods. You are encouraged to submit your resume for approval at least 2 weeks prior to applying for any positions on Handshake. You also are encouraged to review our resume minimum requirements prior to submission.
Students: To access Handshake, you must log into your MyBGSU account and click on the Career Center section.
Alumni: To access Handshake, you must have your personal email address on file with Registration and Records. Please complete the below form to indicate the personal address you would like to have on file and use for your Handshake login. You should allow 3-4 business days for processing. When your Handshake account is ready, you will receive an automatic link from Handshake.
