BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Casey M. Stark specializes in ancient history, and her research specifically explores Roman religion, women, and gender, often using epigraphy. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and taught at Idaho State University, the University of Wisconsin-Madison and UW-Milwaukee, and The University of Toledo before joining Bowling Green State University in 2018. Her courses at BGSU include ancient world civilizations, Roman history, Greek history, women in ancient Greece and Rome, and courses that help students build their skills as historians. Dr. Stark received the 2022 College of Arts and Sciences Distinguished Teaching Award. She is an active member of the Association of Ancient Historians (AAH) and currently chairs its Grants and Awards committee.
