The Student Handbook is comprised of five sections: General Information, Public Safety, Student Codes of Conduct, the Community Living Standards defining policies and procedures specific to on-campus, residential students, and the Policy and Procedures section.
The Code of Student Conduct creates an expectation of behavior that the University views as acceptable. By fulfilling these expectations, students can enjoy their own rights and responsibilities, while also respecting other's rights and furthering the University's goals.
Student Conduct Program serves to educate the University Community in regard to the Code of Student Conduct and to assist those students who fail to adhere to the expectations described within the Code. The program is supervised by the Associate Dean of Students.
Join the It's On Us cultural movement aimed at fundamentally shifting the way we think about sexual assault. It's On Us is a rallying cry inviting everyone to step up and realize that the solution begins with us. It’s a declaration that sexual assault is not only a crime committed by a perpetrator against a victim, but a societal problem in which all of us have a role to play. We are reframing sexual assault in a way that inspires everyone to see it as their responsibility to do something, big or small, to prevent it. BGSU is charged with creating an environment, be it a residence hall room, a party, a club or a sports team, or the greater college campus, where sexual assault is unacceptable and survivors are supported.
