• F&A Rate
  • To accurately describe the F&A or indirect cost base used in proposals, investigators are encouraged to utilize the following description: “Facilities and Administrative (F&A or indirect) costs are calculated in accordance with Bowling Green State University’s federally-negotiated F&A rate agreement (Department of Health and Human Services, effective 7/1/2024), which is currently 45% of modified total direct costs (MTDC).  MTDC excludes equipment and capital expenditures above $3,500, participant support costs, tuition, subawards above the first $25,000 and rental costs.
