Democracy and Public Policy Network releases findings, analysis on February poll
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Democracy and Public Policy Network in the Department of Political Science at Bowling Green State University has released the results of its sixth web-based poll, conducted from Feb. 13-18, 2026, with insight from 1,200 registered U.S. voters.
Topics covered in the February poll include:
- The president’s approval rating
- An early midterm advantage for Democrats and early look at 2028 hopefuls
- Concerns about democracy and ICE activities
The nonpartisan poll has a margin of error of +/- 3.2 percentage points.

For the poll, YouGov, an international online research data and analytics technology group, gathered public opinion data through questions sent in online surveys, emails and text messages.
A four-person research team in the BGSU Department of Political Science developed, ordered, tested and analyzed the questions in the poll.
