With a record-breaking 600 members, the Bowling Green State University Falcon Marching Band is now the largest college marching band in the nation – with support and enthusiasm growing alongside its size. At the band's practice on Sept. 10, Findlay-based Garner Trucking, Inc. surprised band members by delivering a fully customized, wrapped semitrailer.

Garner Trucking, a Findlay, Ohio-based transportation company, donated the 53-foot trailer outfitted with custom shelving to help the band more easily transport its equipment and uniforms. Sherri Brumbaugh '93, president and CEO of Garner Trucking, Inc., donated the semitrailer and covered the cost of having it wrapped ito represent BGSU and the Falcon Marching Band.

The delivery of the semitrailer marks the second surprise for the Falcon Marching Band already this season. On Sept. 1, the BGSU Football team presented all 600 band members with backpacks as part of an ongoing partnership between the two groups and their shared commitment to representing the University with pride.

"We wanted to show you that we're all in this together," said BGSU Head Coach Eddie George. "We appreciate you, we hear you, and we're behind you like you're behind us." 

Support and enthusiasm for the Falcon Marching Band are evident across campus and the broader community, with fans turning out in large numbers to watch their performances during football games, parades and community events. To expand access and reach an even broader audience, the University began livestreaming its halftime performances during home football games.

The Falcon Marching Band continues to make history, receiving invitations to perform at some of the most prestigious events both nationally and internationally.

Following a highly competitive selection process, the band will perform in the 2027 Rose Parade on New Year’s Day ahead of the internationally watched Rose Bowl Game in Pasadena, California. 

During its 102nd year in 2025, the Falcon Marching Band was one of only three college marching bands invited to perform in the iconic St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin, Ireland.
