Celebrating BGSU Summer Commencement 2026, by the numbers

The 316th Commencement will be held outdoors at the Bowen-Thompson Quadrangle on Aug. 7-8.

Bowling Green State University will hold its Summer Commencement exercises during the first week of August outdoors at the Bowen-Thompson Quadrangle.

The 316th Commencement celebration at BGSU will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 7 with the Doctoral Hooding and Graduate College Ceremony for doctoral and master's degree candidates. As part of the ceremony, doctoral degree candidates will be hooded as they cross the stage.

The Undergraduate Ceremony, recognizing all bachelor's and associate degree candidates, will start at 9 a.m. on Aug. 8.
