The 305th Bowling Green State University Commencement welcomed a new generation of alumni on Dec. 9 and 10, as 1,046 diplomas were awarded at the conclusion of the Fall 2022 semester. Of the undergraduate degrees awarded, 273 students received Latin honors to signify their meritorious academic achievement.

University photographers Craig Bell, Justin Camuso-Stall and Haven Conn, as well as student photographer Campbell Holben, documented the culmination of the graduates' journey and the excitement for students and loved ones as they embark on their next chapter in life with the solid backing of the BGSU community.

For both Commencement ceremonies, graduates and the audience heard from speaker Bruce Johnson '82. Johnson serves as the president and CEO of the Inter-University Council of Ohio and previously was lieutenant governor of Ohio and the State Development Director. Johnson spoke of his time at BGSU, where he started his career path and met his Falcon Flame.

During his address, BGSU President Rodney K. Rogers offered advice to the newest class of BGSU alumni, asking them to do three things to achieve public good in life: always remain curious, be bold and take action and always be kind.

"If you do these things, you will absolutely do well, but you will also do good," President Rogers said.
