Prospective students can preview BGSU Dec. 1

BOWLING GREEN, O.—Bowling Green State University invites prospective students and their parents to visit campus on Dec. 1 and take part in Preview Day.

Most activities will be held in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union. More than 100 displays from academic departments and student services areas will fill the Lenhart Grand Ballroom and 228 Union from 9 a.m. to noon.

The Union Theater will host a 10:30 a.m. presentation for multicultural students, sandwiched between “Myths and Legends of Finding My Major” at both 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. And in 308 Union, a 10 a.m. University Honors Program presentation will precede an 11 a.m. session addressing a summer trip for freshmen to explore Great Lakes environments and cultures.

The BG Experience and other programs for first-year students will be discussed at 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. in 101 Olscamp Hall, which will also be the site for financial aid presentations at 10:30 a.m. and noon.

Residence hall, campus and departmental tours will be available as well, extending into the afternoon, and a visitor hospitality area in the union's first-floor Falcon's Nest will provide refreshments beginning at 8 a.m.

For high school juniors and seniors navigating the college selection process, Preview Day is “just a great time to come and get a feel for the campus,” says David Rice, assistant director of admissions at BGSU.
