Music Discovery Day

BOWLING GREEN, O.—More than 250 high school students are expected to take part in the annual Music Discovery Day at Bowling Green State University’s College of Musical Arts on Monday, Oct. 16.

The daylong event, which starts at 9 a.m., introduces teens to the University's musical arts program.

Music Discovery Day guests will tour the Moore Musical Arts Center, visit Batchelder Residence Hall housing for music students, see typical college classes, learn about careers in music, meet music faculty and attend clinics on audition preparation, practice techniques and music theory.

Students are also welcome to attend rehearsals of the A Cappella Choir, Concert Band, University Women's Chorus, Bowling Green Philharmonia, University Men's Chorus, Collegiate Chorale, Opera Theater and Falcon Marching Band.

In addition, staff from the admissions and financial aid offices will be available to answer questions.

The day includes a concert at 2:30 p.m. featuring the Bowling Green Philharmonia, Collegiate Chorale and Wind Symphony.
