Krista K. Westrick-Payne, PhD, is Assistant Director of the National Center for Family & Marriage Research at Bowling Green State University. A family demographer, her work focuses on the geographic and policy contexts shaping marriage, divorce, fertility, and family well-being in the United States. She leads the development and archiving of state- and county-level administrative datasets, including longitudinal nuptiality and fertility data resources that support research on family change and inequality. Her scholarship examines structural heterosexism, sexual minority family formation, and the demographic consequences of public health and policy interventions. She is a Co-Investigator on the State of Ohio Adversity and Resilience (SOAR) Study, contributing to community-engaged population health research in Northwest Ohio.
