The National Couples’ Health and Time Study (NCHAT) is a nationally-representative, multi-method study of cohabiting and married individuals ages 20 to 60 who were in a same- or different-gender couple in the United States during the COVID-19 pandemic. The sample includes 3,642 main respondents and 1,515 spouses/partners. The survey and time diary with experience sampling methods focus on relationship functioning, emotion regulation, discrimination, racial trauma, physical health, psychological well-being, health behaviors, stressors, and time use.
