High School Student Visit Opportunities

This calendar is ideal for students who are currently enrolled in high school or are starting college for the first time. If you have attempted 12 or more college level credit hours since you graduated from high school or earned your GED (not including College Credit Plus or dual enrollment coursework) you're considered a transfer student and should register for your visit using the Transfer Student Visit Opportunities page.

Available year-round Monday through Friday (and select Saturdays), we offer a general admissions presentation followed by a 90-minute walking tour of campus, led by a student tour guide. These sessions begin at 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. daily.

Maximize your admissions visit by adding an optional Academic Information Session to your itinerary at 1 PM. Offered on select Mondays and Fridays, these sessions will help you learn more about specific academic programs. To register for an optional Information Session, choose the 10 AM Admissions Information Session and Campus Tour option. Any available optional Academic Information Sessions will be listed and you can add one to your registration.

Prospective students highly interested in BGSU’s Aviation Program should register to attend this session hosted at the BG Flight Center, located on-campus. During this session we will cover aviation specific topics including our flight program, costs, scholarships, student organizations, our learning community, background information on the aviation industry and aviation careers. Following the information session, join us for a guided tour of our facilities and aircraft.

The Career Center invites you to learn about the variety of services available to all BGSU students. During this session you will have the opportunity to learn about our unique internship guarantee program, our career and life planning skills course, the wonderful co-ops & internships available to students as well as the student employment options offered – just to name a few. In addition to the information session you will also have the opportunity to tour our facility.

This interactive session is for prospective students and guests to take a deeper look at the extensive opportunities available in the college, including internships, our learning community, education abroad and so much more!

Want more information about the opportunities for students in the College of Education and Human Development? Expect to hear from staff and current students and learn about internships, field experiences, program requirements, opportunities for engagement in student organizations, as well as highlights of the being a member of our college. This session is ideal for students who are considering education, as well as event planning, exercise science, human development and family studies, interior design and sport management to name a few.

Looking for a career where making a difference is part of the job? Join us to learn more about the programs offered in the College of Health and Human Services! This session is ideal for students considering Communication Science and Disorders, Criminal Justice, Dietetics, Gerontology, Health Care Administration, Nursing, Social Work, Public Health, and Applied Health Science, and more!

Putting your degree to work. That’s the mission of the College of Technology, Architecture and Applied Engineering. Come learn about our hands-on approach to education and our mandatory paid internship program which puts students in the workplace as part of their degree requirements. The Honors College provides one of the highest accolades on campus, University Honors, in addition to providing opportunities for tuition scholarships, smaller classroom environments, priority class registration, and mentoring relationships with faculty. This presentation will share more about the Honors College and talk about next steps.

The School of Art is a wonderful place to begin your life-long creative journey. Whether your goal is to become an artist, designer or scholar – you’ll work with our dedicated, renowned faculty in our state-of-the-art facilities. This event is a one-stop shop for high school seniors and their families to get a true sense of life at BGSU. With a full day of activities planned, you'll create your own schedule for the day.

Note: The BGSU Presidents' Day Open House is a very popular event. Please keep in mind we expect a large number of guests to attend. While this will be a busy day, please know the BGSU community is ready to ensure this is a great visit for you and your family. If you have any questions throughout the day, please don't hesitate to ask BGSU students, faculty, staff or community volunteers who are in place to assist you.

Whether this is your first visit to campus or a return visit, Falcon Friday is an excellent time for graduating seniors to finalize plans for the fall.

Start your day in the Exhibitor Area to connect with representatives from various academic departments and student services. The formal program will begin at 9:30 AM with our "Next Steps to Becoming a Falcon" presentation. An admissions counselor will talk you through making your housing payment, finding a roommate, scheduling your fall classes and more.

Additional breakout sessions will cover topics like Financial Aid, living and learning on campus and SOAR (New Student Orientation.) You’ll also have the option to take a campus tour, explore select residence halls, tour the city of Bowling Green and more.

Falcon Fridays are offered on select Fridays in March and April. Choose the date that works best for you!
