What is the Pathway program?

The BGSU Pathway program is an intentionally designed first-year experience that delivers the strong foundation you need to succeed  at BGSU.

Pathway students have the full BGSU experience with an added level of support and structure. You’ll take courses and live on campus while having access to dedicated faculty, advisors and extra resources.

  • Smaller class sizes
  • Faculty who specialize in the first-year experience
  • One-on-one advising

Success in the Pathway program comes from working together. You take an active role in your progress, and we’ll provide guidance to help you succeed.

Pathway costs and financial aid

Small classes

Learn from faculty who are knowledgeable about the first-year experience. You’ll focus your first year on core courses critical to success that move you toward your degree.

Enhanced advising

You’ll meet with your Pathway advisor frequently to discuss your experiences in and outside the classroom. Our team of coaches and advisors helps you achieve critical milestones and design your academic experience so you can graduate on time.

Frequent communication

Expect regular check-ins with helpful reminders and guidance. Students who engage with these communications are better prepared to stay on track.
