The BGSU Testing Center provides secure test-proctoring services for qualifying BGSU students. Services are currently limited to students that receive academic accommodations through BGSU Accessibility Services for extended test time or a space with limited distractions. Other requests for exam proctoring are handled on a case-by-case basis (i.e. make-up exams, Math Placement exams).

Proctored testing is available by appointment. Please direct students to schedule an appointment through our scheduling page.

Once your student has registered for an exam, we ask that you provide us with the exam and instructions as soon as possible. We will email you requesting this information. Paper exams should be sent in electronic format to testcenter@bgsu.edu; the body of the email should include the name(s) of the student(s) that will be taking that specific exam. For exams of any format, we request that an instruction sheet be sent to the Testing Center email. Please be specific with instructions; we will strictly adhere to the instructions provided for test length, permitted materials, etc. To ensure the integrity of the testing process, if something is not specifically listed as permitted for the exam, then students will not be permitted to utilize that resource.

Once an exam is completed, the student will return their paper exam and any supplemental materials. All materials will be scanned and emailed to you as soon as possible. Physical exams will also be returned to you via campus mail at our earliest convenience. We will not retain any exam materials in the Testing Center.

General correspondence can be handled through the Testing Center email (testcenter@bgsu.edu) or phone (419-372-1313). If you have any questions, concerns, or comments, please feel free to contact Jeremy Joseph, Assistant Director of Supplemental Learning Services in the Learning Commons at jjoseph@bgsu.edu, or by phone at 419-372-9129.
