  • American Tolkien Society Collection now available for research Oct 14, 2025 2:00 PM The Browne Popular Culture Library (BPCL) is thrilled to announce that the American Tolkien Society (ATS) Collection, cataloged as PCL MS 134, is now fully processed and available to researchers. The finding aid can be accessed through the University Libraries' Finding Aids website.

  • BGSU Libraries Associate Dean appointed president of APALA for 2025-26 Sep 10, 2025 2:00 PM Associate Dean Eileen K. Bosch has been appointed President of the Asian Pacific American Librarians Association (APALA) for the 2025–2026 term. This marks a special milestone, as Bosch will be serving as APALA President for the second time. Her new term began on August 1, 2025.

The new enterprise software, Alma/Primo, will manage day-to-day library operations and help faculty, staff and students find and access the information they need for teaching, learning and research.

  • BGSU Sound Archives pioneer receives Lifetime Achievement Award Feb 3, 2025 3:00 PM Bill Schurk ‘66, former sound recording archivist, received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2024 Ray Browne Conference on Class and Culture. The Ray Browne Association (RBA) presented the honor on November 2, recognizing Schurk's exceptional 50-year career at BGSU.
