“Hopefully…every one of our students who goes for an interview will feel like they are dressed for success with the help of this resource.” - Paul Agne ‘55
Mr. Agne's Career Collection
As a student at Bowling Green State University, Paul Agne remembered the challenges of completing his degree and starting his professional teaching career. His generous financial support helps students meet those challenges with professional attire that is often expensive to purchase new.
Housed at 117 Eppler South with convenient walk-in hours, this "free thrift shop" provides students from all colleges with professional attire for job fairs, interviews and new careers. University students can get one free outfit per year while they are active students at Bowling Green State University; alumni from the most recent commencement are also eligible to get one free outfit.
Fashion Merchandising and Product Development students use their skills in a real-world setting by staffing the shop, helping to manage the inventory, and by styling student clients to reach the best professional appearance for job fairs, interviews and careers.
The Career Collection is on a temporary hiatus until September 2025. No donations are accepted until that time as well.
How does it work?
- Stop in during walk-in hours
- Bring your BGSU ID.
- Talk with your stylist about the company or environment where you’ll wear the outfit
- Take your outfit home and hang it up
- Crush your interview!
Donations
The success of Mr. Agne’s Career Collection depends on donations of professional, gently used women's and men's professional clothing in a range of sizes. To complete a professional appearance, accessories and shoes are also appreciated.
Donations are not accepted at this time. If you have any questions, please contact the office of the Dean of the College of Education and Human Development (419-372-7401).
