Sarah Hayford

Sarah Hayford is Robert T. Lazarus Professor of Population Studies in the Department of Sociology and Director of the Institute for Population Research at Ohio State University. Hayford studies desires and outcomes related to family formation, including childbearing and marriage, and life course transitions. She is co-leader of an NIA-funded project collecting survey data on intergenerational relationships and psychosocial wellbeing among midlife women in Mozambique. Her research contributes to CAF’s research themes on the changing demography of aging families and aging family health. Hayford is a co-director of CAF, lead of the administrative core, and a mentor in CAF’s Emerging Scholars program.
