Jeffrey J. Wing is an Assistant Professor at Ohio State University and the Director of the Masters Programs in Epidemiology in the College of Public Health. He is a neuroepidemiologist whose research focuses on the intersection of geographic and social factors with neurologic health, primarily stroke and Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD). He is particularly interested in how structural factors shape disparities in ADRD prevalence and stroke outcomes, addressing critical gaps in aging family health and health equity. His work also explores family and community contexts in chronic disease prevention, including work in Santa Ana, California using culturally tailored family-based interventions to reduce vascular risk among Latino and Vietnamese households. Dr. Wing’s scholarship aligns with the CAF’s research themes on aging family health and health disparities in aging families.
