Dr. Morgan is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Co-Director of the PhD Program in the College of Nursing at Ohio State University. His research goals are to improve the health people living with HIV, particularly among older adults. He focuses on understanding health disparities among this population in terms of biomarkers (e.g., systemic inflammation, gene expression), substance use and treatment, and rural-urban differences. He has substantial experience in survey and biologic data collection and analyses, having worked on several large NIH-funded cohort studies as well as having extensive experience with a variety of advanced statistical methods (e.g., mediation models, latent class analyses, and multilevel models), including those in his own NIH-funded research. Dr. Morgan is keen on developing collaborations across universities to facilitate research among older adults living with HIV.
