Patrick Bruen teaches Introduction to Marketing Management, Professional Selling and Understanding Dynamics of Business at the Schmidthorst College of Business.  He has been teaching at Bowling Green State University (BGSU) since 2019 as an adjunct assistant teaching professor and moved to a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor in 2024.  Patrick also served on the Marketing Advisory Board for the Schmidthorst College of Business from 2019 to 2024, leading as Board President from 2020 to 2022.  During his term as president of the Marketing Advisory Board, the board created the Marketing Student Scholarship Opportunity Endowment Scholarship.

Patrick has always been involved in local nonprofit organizations as well through board service with the American Advertising Federation of Toledo, Catholic Charities of Northwest Ohio.  As well, he volunteers in numerous capacities through BSA, CYO Toledo, SJM and many other local organizations.

Patrick earned a bachelor of communication arts degree from Franciscan University, then received a master of business administration (MBA) from BGSU from the Professional MBA Program in 2010.

Prior to joining the faculty at BGSU, Patrick was in the technical sales industry as a regional account manager for Spectrum Enterprise.  Before that he worked in sales and marketing in the media industry for WTOL 11, Spectrum Reach/Time Warner Cable Media and Comcast Spotlight.  He looks forward to utilizing his two decades of marketing and sales experience in the classroom to help the next generation of marketing and sales professionals.
