Edward Chavez
Edward is an assistant teaching professor at the Schmidthorst College of Business. He graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2024 with a doctorate in organization development and change, and joined the marketing department in 2025.
Professionally, Edward’s background is rooted in management and leadership coaching and consulting. He is a board-certified coach through the Center for Credentialing & Education and serves as an executive coach at Ascendance Consulting LLC. Prior to joining BGSU, Edward was director of client organizational effectiveness at Corporate College, a division of Cuyahoga Community College, and worked as an enterprise change consultant for a global insurance company. In his work, he helps individuals, teams and organizations give voice to their values and leverage the best of what is to better inform what’s next.
Academically, Edward has taught at John Carroll University and Case Western Reserve University, reviewed for and presented at the Academy of Management, and published in the Journal of Organizational Psychology and with Information Age Publishing.
