Community and Well-Being
The Department of Theatre and Film embraces an intellectual and artistic community enriched and enhanced across multiple dimensions, including race, ethnicity and national origins, gender and gender identity, sexual orientation, neurodiversity, disability, class and religion. We recognize that (1) representations of many of these groups have historically been limited or nonexistent and that (2) many representations that exist are inaccurate, exclusionary, and harmful. We strive to provide space and opportunity for our community to engage with and pursue storytelling from different perspectives.

• Create recommendations and share resources for production strategies, including but not limited to casting.
• Seek out, recommend, and develop programming that supports the department’s goals.
