Susan L. Brown received her PhD in sociology and demography from The Pennsylvania State University in 1998 and joined the Bowling Green faculty the same year. Her areas of expertise include family sociology and demography, fertility, and gender. Dr. Brown's research examines the implications of the rapid transformation of American family life, with a focus on recent changes in family structure and living arrangements. Much of her work examines cohabitation and its effects on the well-being of both children and adults.
