Music Library and Bill Schurk Archives completes archival collection of rock photos from 1970's Ohio
During the summer of 2020, the Music Library and Bill Schurk Sound Archives highlighted parts of their newest addition to the collection. Photos from the 1970s archive shared in a “Who Am I?” social media campaign.
The collection originates from Ohio native Jacqueline Deegan who spent most of her life in Kent, Ohio. A photographer, physic, and animal lover, Deegan was dedicated to rock music and attended many concerts during this period.
The collection includes photos from concert venues in Ohio during the 1970s and early 1980s. The photos include well-known artists such as Genesis, Devo, U2, and Pere Ubu. Additionally, there are stories of personal and professional goals, stories and musings about romance and love affairs, and much more.
