The Jerome Library building hours are posted at the front of the building and are available on our home page. Hours shorten and change during inter-sessions and holidays. Each special collection has its own hours. Call the appropriate special collection directly or check their hours on the web before you visit.
Each school/department has a team of librarians to assist them. Don't hesitate to contact your team's primary contact to ask questions or to schedule a personal consultation.

Request a library instruction session for your class to help teach your students how to best utilize library resources. Librarians can collaborate with you to develop specific research assignments and incorporate online tutorials into your course shell in CANVAS. To request any instructional services, contact your subject librarians.
Reserve a space to meet with your students one on one or in small groups.
STAC offers peer-to-peer instruction on a variety of software applications for undergraduate, graduate and distance students. Assistance is available by appointment, through drop-in visits, one-on-one, in small groups or through class visits.
You can put books from the library's collection, your personal books, extra copies of textbooks, or other materials on reserve in the library for your students to use during the semester.
For in-depth individualized research assistance, your students can take advantage of our one-hour consultations with a librarian. These are offered throughout the year.
The Learning Commons provides free subject area tutoring throughout the semester to all BGSU students. If your students need help with math, writing, study skills, and or some specific courses, tutors are available on a drop-in basis all hours that the Learning Commons is open.

*Borrow a charger! We have chargers for iOS and Android cell phones and tablets as well as laptops if your battery is getting low.

*Borrow an iPad! They can be checked out for one week at a time. See if an iPad is available.

*Borrow a Kindle! They can be checked out for three weeks at a time and renewed. See if a Kindle is available.

*Borrow a laptop! We have both Mac and PC computers for use in the library. The Macs include photo and video software.

Ramona Cormier Faculty Reading Room

Located on the 8th floor of Jerome Library, the Ramona Cormier Faculty Reading Room is a quiet work room for faculty and graduate student use only.  The room, a multi-user room for individual work, is equipped with a desktop computer and has wireless capabilities for laptop use.  A key may be checked out from the main circulation desk in the Jerome Library.  Questions regarding the use of the Cormier Reading Room can be answered at the circulation desk.

Printing & Scanning

You can copy and print (black and white or color) at the library with your BG1 Card or your BGSU username and password.

Printing/copying costs

  • $0.05 for a one-sided black-and-white page
  • $0.09 for a two-sided black-and-white page
  • $0.18 for a one-sided color page
  • $0.35 for a two-sided color page

Scanning is free. Our copy machines will scan multiple-page documents to pdfs and send them via email or you may save to a flash drive.
