2026 Research Symposium & Networking Event

The Center of Excellence for Health and Wellness Across the Lifespan is partnering with the Department of Public and Allied Health to host the 2nd annual Research Event - the Research Showcase – which will be held this academic year during the Public and Allied Health Symposium on Thursday, April 2, 2026.

The theme for this year's symposium is AI: For the Public Good. We are now inviting poster and platform abstract submissions from BGSU faculty, undergraduate, and graduate students that align with the mission of our Center.

We are open to all submissions but particularly encourage works related to:

  • Disease prevention
  • Health promotion
  • Health communication
  • Quality of life improvement
  • Economic benefits related to health and wellness
  • AI in relation to health and wellness

This year's event offers two types of research presentations, a poster presentation and a platform presentation.

  • Poster Presentations are visual displays of research projects. Presenters will design a 36 inch x 48 inch poster that summarizes their work through text, visuals, and figures. During the poster session, presenters stand by their posters to discuss their research with attendees.
  • Platform Presentations are oral presentations delivered in a 10-15 minute time slot, followed by a brief Q&A. Presenters typically use slides to share share research aims, methods, results, and significance in greater detail.

Submit your abstract between now and Friday, January 23rd, 2026!
