The Office of Human Resources is committed to supporting employee growth through a wide range of professional development opportunities. Our programs are designed to help faculty and staff build skills, enhance performance and grow personally and professionally while supporting the mission and core values of the University. 

We offer in-person, virtual and on-demand professional development opportunities, along with resources and trainings in key areas, including: 

Employee Engagement

Provide strategies to enhance employee engagement, foster a positive workplace culture, and boost team performance.  

Skills Development

Ongoing training in essential workplace competencies and tools through instructor-led, computer-based and blended formats. 

Supervisor and Leadership Programs

Including the BG Leadership Academy, which brings together faculty, administrative and classified staff for cross-functional leadership development. 

Compliance Training

Required programs to support safe, ethical and informed workplace practices. 

Employees may also register to attend self-paced training sessions from our on-demand training library in BGSU's Bridge Training Portal which also includes self-guided learning materials. A monthly calendar of available courses and events is published for easy access.
