Dr. Giordano studies the ways in which basic social network processes impact developmental outcomes, particularly movement into delinquency. More recently, Giordano used follow-up data to examine the ways in which early delinquency involvement influenced the direction and success of adult transitions Giordano directs the Toledo Adolescent Relationships Study where the objective is to specify the nature and meaning of adolescent heterosexual relationship experiences and to determine how variations in these experiences influence sexual and fertility and other problem behaviors.
