macOS Ugrade 2026

macOS upgrade required for university-owned group/shared devices running macOS versions 11, 12 or 13

From Mar. 18 to Apr. 8, 2026, ITS will attempt to install a required macOS upgrade on group/shared, university-owned devices running macOS 11, 12, or 13. The upgrade will run overnight on devices that are powered on and connected to the BGSU network/VPN between 6 p.m. and 7 a.m. You can also start the upgrade yourself at any time using the Self Service application. If a device has not upgraded by Apr. 8, the upgrade will automatically attempt to install the next time the device connects to the network on or after Apr. 9.
